Worst Case Scenario

While flipping through blogs I came upon Adam's worst case scenario picture (which is brilliant by the way). This of course inspired me to do my own. So here it is!

If I were to fail as an artist I would go to Dalhousie's arts and science program to become the most insanely evil mad scientist the world has known! Many of my nefarious plots would involve genetically engineering pigeons to blitzkrieg Sheridan college with... well that's enough revealing my plans...
>_>
<_<

MWA HAHAHAHAAAHAHAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AHA AAAHA!

Animation, Layout and paintings, oh my...

Firstly paintings:

I did not design or draw this layout (above) but I did colour it in photoshop as our first painting asignment of this semester.

The next one was also given to us, but as part of a layout assignment everyone had to draw the same layout from a slightly different angle as the example we were given. This was not painted from my layout but is pretty much exactally the same anyway. The assignment was to remove all the lines so I only put a stroke along the edges that I wanted to excentuate.

And in 3d, I modeled my digital camera. Which I still can't find the cord to! Ahem, the only problems I have with it was a lack of rounded edges and it's not shiney enough. I also did the back of the camera but this is the only rendered image I took of it. I made it so that it could be rigged to actually move like a camera, but I don't know how to rig yet so I didn't go that far.

As for the animations, I'm uploading them as I type this there are 3 assignments from animation class and one layout I did. So I'll link to them once the extreamly long process of uploading ends.

Westerns

So, I'm working on my material for my western story. Namely the pitch. And the Dewey Cox music Hugh's playing is very distracting.

Enter the Hero, our Gunslinger:

Not quite what I have pictured now, but a nice little thrown together picture for tomorrow.

Our heroine, the love interest:

And the villains, the only two I have names for, Sheriff Billybob Jones (Meagan will understand the significance of this name) and his sinister lackey of a little brother Nedd Jones:

I think I'll be keeping this last style from now on for all my work on this project, possibly with a little more flourish to the outlining; more noticeable thick and thins.

Well that's all for now.

Madness

I finished another sketchbook yesterday, so since everything else is on the school computers I'll post some pieces of it, mostly it's just my madness coming out in sketch form.

I notice a trend.

A lesson about eye direction, be careful while watching those flies:

Flies these days may come equipped with ray guns. Stay aware, stay safe.

It's times like these I wonder how I got into Sheridan Animation... and then I remember that I probably could draw if I wanted to; but I don't care when it comes to my sketchies.

I've found that some students get obsessed about what they show of their work and who sees it. But it's nice to just let loose and draw something completely crappy for the sake of weirdness. It's very relaxing.

And it gets the crazy out so when I do a project it doesn't turn into alien cheese monsters taking over the Bluenose and trying to use it to destroy all of Canada only to realize that most of Canada is inland and thus the bluenose is useless, not to mention that it's not actually equipped with heat-"seaking" missiles as I once believed as a child. And thus they'll have to take a sea-king and fly it into the parliment buildings.

Damn... I like that story... I need to re-write my storyboards.

She must be tired of something

So the Storyboarding assignment has consumed my life, that and Ultimate Alliance, I do love video games.

Hugh and I went to the mall over the weekend, he had some assignment to do, so I drew him. I also finished my animation a while ago and my layout's done, so when I finally decide to take my harddrive in I'll post that stuff.

So like I was saying about the Story assignment... I've been wanting to do something with my obsession with this song: Round Here - Counting Crows So I'm making a western about it. Don't ask how that makes any sence. It will. Oh how it will.

On that note: I really liked the good the bad and the ugly, but For a few dollars more was better. And of course... Firefly <3 Thus is pretty much all of my experiance with westerns. Well, there was Spirit... but I dunno if that overly counts.

PS: Who else thinks Adam Duritz looks a little like Adam Hines?

PPS: Why are there so many Adams? O_o
