It's friggen freezing Mr. Bigglesworth!

I occasionally get the reputation as a person who fears no cold, ever. But to be fair that's only because I grew up here in the frozen wastelands of Nova Scotia (and of course I spent many a winter in the snow-dunes of New Brunswick).

But I can honestly say, it's freezing! Oh god... so cold! Nyeeerrr (wraps up in blankets).

I missed home. Snow day and night, there's gotta be six feet of it in my back yard. -16 is usual wind chill not included. Man, I was wishing I'd had a coat at 1am when my flight got in.

On to updates.

I started studying muscles, I figure I'll move down starting at the face:

Resident Evil rant following:

So I had a Resident Evil marathon yesterday (and by that I mean I watched the games on YouTube while drawing). Followed up by the recent movie and I have to say the only thing I liked was Carlos' death scene. I get bored real quick with the over-powered chickies especially if they take time away from interesting characters like that k-mart girl and a strange version of Claire that can only be described as, not Claire (but then the same is true of Carlos). And eww! He kissed the Alice chick. So wrong! Seriously there is only one couple in RE and it's Steve and Claire, and I really don't think Claire liked Steve that much. And I'm sure you could argue for Jill x Chris, Jill x Carlos or Leon x Ada. But none of them actually have a relationship. Not that I'm not a Leon x Ada shipper... no... that's just silly.

End of Resident Evil rant...

So since I like RE2 so much here's a pretty picture:


Note: I can't draw motorcycles, it took forever to get one in there. And I need to fix the wheels I know how to do them right now but the picture was done so no looking back for now. I think I'll draw a few motorcycles in my sketchy for practice. That's Claire by the way, hopefully you knew that if you play RE games.

Enter brief rant about neck pain:

Anywho, back to enjoying vacation and trying to con Mommy into giving me a neck massage so I can maybe move my neck in the future. GAH! It's been four days since this started it's driving me crazy, I wake up every morning because of neck pain. EERGH!

Fish for layout!

So I haven't even started my layout assignment yet. This is the third pass at the painting project. I'm thinking if I can go with something like this for the realistic version I'm good, it's just using gouache for that... well it's a lot harder. I'll start work on the stylized version tomorrow, for now I ought to finish character design and/or layout. I shall keep trucking along as they say.

I think the moon is too strong, note to self: fix that in the b+w roughs.

Well I've made a point at not updating my deviantart and avoiding the online scene but it seems I can't evade forever.

I'm updating my youtube account with all my old animations from first year, I'll post the new ones here once the walk/run is completed.

I suppose this blog thing is means that I upload my work in a clever attempt to show off. Since I don't have things to show off though, I'm just gonna throw on some of my practise work and see what happens.

<- That there is Evenara or Eevee, as she lets no one but her brother call her. I've had her in my head for awhile. This is about four separate occasions of drawing her and she's been more then four different personalities, still working out her character but again, this is just for fun so she'll probably never be seen again in a few more pages of sketchbookery.

Aaaaaand! Next, a bit of an introduction... I've been watching a lot of Sorbules... er Hercules, lately. That is, Kevin Sorbo trying to act. I think they just decided after the movies that Hercules' character would just be Kevin Sorbo, so that they wouldn't have to remind him to act.

Anywho that sketchery over there is the short, amusing sidekick, Iolaus. I have to say next to the Sobowski, Michael Hurst is a god of acting. I'm hoping to do some mildy realistic sketches of The Widow Twanky sometime in the near future, I mean, if I wasn't fairly certain that he didn't have a twin sister, I would have thought he was a woman. Y'anywho. That's a cartoon version of my interperetation of Iolaus, brought on by watching that show way way too much.

Well that's all for now, sleep is calling my name, and she's fairly cranky.
